Isn’t it crazy how time flies?
who came up with that saying anyway?

At the beginning of 2010 Husbuddy and I came up with a list of 10 things we wanted to accomplish in 2010…
we did ok at completing them:
- Backpack in the Appalachians :: failed. we didn’t even get to go backpacking this year!! :( That’s unbelievable if I do say so myself…
- Go snowboarding :: check! we went in NH in Jan. {see post HERE}
- Read 3 books together:: 2/3 of a check- we read 2(kinda). Four Loves by CS Lewis (very good!){ post here.} Parts of: Biblical Manhood and Womanhood by John Piper {post here} (good, but a little textbookie…) AND THEN…husbuddy got a little busy with school work… :)
- Visit Boston :: Check! :) SO much fun! {see pics here }When we made this resolution we didn’t know we’d be having a family reunion type thing there… :)
- Get Mountain bikes and go for lots of rides :: double check! We had lots of fun exploring the new of Jersey. :-p (this post}
- Have dinner in Cape May:: failed. doh! husbuddy didn’t even get to go with me when I made it to Cape May for work. {at least I got to see it… here…even if he didn’t)
- Drive across Brooklyn Bridge:: failed. double doh! What were we even thinking making it part of our list in the first place I ask you??
- Have # thousand (exact # to remain secret) in a Savings Account:: whoo hoo! We did it!
- Excercise together at least 1 Time a week:: um…maybe half a check. ha! I think Husbuddy forgot about this one half way through the year becuase we started out really strong together! :) lots of bikerides helped…
- Cook +/- 20 new Meals together:: check! (at least i think so!) We do try to make lots of meals together :) Maybe we should have kept better track… but I know there were a bunch!
Whew! what a year! So what about you? How did your 2010 make out? It’s ok if you didn’t do everything you thought you would… that’s what a fresh, new start, new year, is all about right? Good thing there is always a second chance.
My friends, may God bless you in spirit and keep you strong in Him during this coming New Year!
